Intermountain Combined Federal Campaign - Charitable Giving Campaign in Idaho

Intermountain Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), the charitable fundraising campaigns for federal employees in southern Idaho, Malheur County, Oregon, Utah, western Colorado, and Wyoming, announced today that the 2012 non-profit application period is officially open. All local, statewide and adjacent 501 ( c ) (3) non-profit agencies are encouraged to apply for inclusion in the 2012 charitable giving campaign. Applications can be found at www.intermountaincfc.org and are due no later than March 28, 2012. An application training class is also available on January 11th. The Intermountain CFC is expected to raise approximately $3 million in 2012, with operating costs below 8 percent, making it one of the most effective and efficient CFCs in the country.

Established in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy, the Combined Federal Campaign is among the largest and most successful workplace charity drives in the world. The campaign enables military and civilian federal workers, including U.S. postal service employees, to support charitable causes of their choice via payroll deduction or cash/check donation. Since 1996, the local CFC has raised more than $29 million for human health and welfare organizations. Nationwide, the CFC has raised more than $6 billion since its inception.
