Regional Nonprofit Forums
The Nonprofit Forums are a day-long opportunity for nonprofit leaders to increase their skills and knowledge, network with colleagues and find ways to collaborate to increase the impact of their nonprofit and the nonprofit sector across the region.
2017 topics will include fundraising techniques, volunteer recruiting and retention programs, information on the new Idaho Gives platform GiveGab, and information on how to be successful in an online giving campaign!

Idaho Gives: Getting Started in 2017 Jesse Saldana, GiveGab: Project Coordinator
Join us to learn more about the Idaho Gives platform, GiveGab. In this presentation, we'll walk through the Idaho Gives site, review the registration process, show you how to build your profile, and provide you with some best practices and strategies that you can use as you prepare for Idaho Gives. We will leave time at the end for any questions you have about using the platform.
About the speaker: Jesse Saldana is a Project Coordinator at GiveGab, a Nonprofit Giving Platform based in Ithaca, New York. Prior to GiveGab, Jesse worked in Alumni Affairs and Development for Cornell University.

Volunteers and Capacity Building: Tips to Recruit, Train and Retain Your Best Volunteer Kirstin Mann, Serve Idaho: Project Coordinator
As nonprofit budgets tighten, the need for creative solutions for program development is becoming more prevalent. This talk will speak to some unique volunteer opportunities nonprofits can utilize for capacity building solutions. Additionally, we will explore best practices when recruiting volunteers and successful tips to retain them.
About the speaker: Kirstin Mann is the Project Coordinator at Serve Idaho: The Governor's Commission on Service and Volunteerism. Prior to coming to Serve Idaho, she was previously the AmeriCorps VISTA Leader at the Idaho Hunger Relief Task Force. Kirstin has a B.A. in Political Science from North Carolina State University and graduated with a Master’s in Public Administration from Boise State University in 2016. Kirstin enjoys volunteering and has a passion for anti-poverty programming.

Leading Today, yet Preparing for Tomorrow Terry Spokesbary, Murdock Charitable Trust: Senior Program Director for Enrichment Initiatives
It is an important task for executive and senior leadership and managers to develop new leaders. As an organization, it is of critical importance to develop leaders throughout an organization to prepare for the future. Coaching individuals to become the leaders of tomorrow will help your organization have a lasting presence and continued success.
About the speaker: Terry oversees the Trust’s work in the area of Enrichment Initiatives which are typically designed to strengthen the organizations in which the Trust serves. Prior to the Trust, Terry spent nearly 25 years working in a national, faith-based organization where he held several positions. A good deal of his time was spent in the areas of training and strategic growth initiatives. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science, and welcomes opportunities to work with individuals and organizations in a variety of areas, including organizational growth and leadership development.
