Nonprofit Registration – Opens Jan. 15, 2020

It’s beginning to look a lot like Idaho Gives season! Below are the important dates to put in your calendar and other information you’ll need to know before the big day. 

• Registration Opens: Jan. 15, 2020
• Early Bird Pricing Ends: Mar. 15, 2020
• Registration Ends: Apr. 15, 2020
• Early Donations Open: Apr. 27, 2020
• Idaho Gives: May 7, 2020

Early Bird Pricing – Ends Mar. 15, 2020

This year, we want to highlight the importance of starting your Idaho Gives campaign early. Registering by Mar. 15, 2020 will help set you up for success! ​

Early Bird Prize

A cash prize of $500 will also be awarded to one lucky organization, randomly drawn from those that register on or before Mar. 15, 2020. We are willing to bribe you to sign up early :) ​

Pricing and Size Decisions ​

ALL “Registration Fees” collected will be spent on promoting and advertising Idaho Gives in ALL regions and communities in Idaho. What your nonprofit pays goes directly back into the program and helps the public know about the big day.

• Paid PSAs: TV and radio
• Paid Air Time: TV and radio
• PR Assistance: PSA and concept creation 
• Paid Social Media Advertising
• Posters, stickers, flyers, banners, etc.

Sizes are based off of your annual operating expense. We categorize organizations this way so similar nonprofits display on the same leaderboards.

• Small: up to $99,999 in annual operating expense
• Medium: $100,000-$499,999 in annual operating expense
  
• Large: $500,000 and up in annual operating expenses

What is New in 2020?

Review Registration Process 

• In the past, once you had registered, your organization’s page would automatically be displayed as a participating nonprofit. This year, it will go through a “review” process to ensure you are in the correct member/not-yet-member and size categories. We decided to change for smoother administration process. You will either be contacted or “approved” to go live within three to four business days. 

Depositing Funds

• In 2020, it will take five to seven business days after Idaho Gives for your raised funds to be deposited into your bank account. This change allows GiveGab to respond to any donor requests for refunds or corrections. Example: the donor accidentally added an extra zero on to their gift turning a $100 to $1,000.

Business Fundraisers 

• We are expanding our Employer Partner Program to allow businesses to set up campaigns to encourage their employees to give to the causes they care about. The feature will show how many employees have donated and sets up a friendly competition with other Idaho businesses. Through this opportunity we will hopefully bring in new donors to support you. Regional Liaisons

Idaho Gives is seeking regional liaisons to act as the Idaho Gives local expert. This group will communicate important announcements to their region and ensure their local community is prepared and informed about Idaho Gives. 

Benefits include: 

• Idaho Gives registration discount – 100% refund on registration after fulfilling all tasks as an Idaho Gives Regional Liaison
