Thank you to Laura Musbach Drake, Executive Director for Trailing of the Sheep Cultural Heritage Center, Inc., for your continued partnership and service to the nonprofit community!
Q: How has your organization evolved over the years?
Evolution: Planning for its 25th year of celebration, the Trailing of the Sheep Cultural Heritage Center and the Festival have expanded greatly from their humble beginnings, yet the goals and objectives of the Center and the Festival remain the same - preserving the stories and history of sheep ranchers and herders, celebrating the rich cultures of the past and present, and entertaining and educating children and adults about the production of food and fiber that have sustained local economies for generations.
Q: What is one of the proudest accomplishments of your nonprofit?
This year, we celebrate 25 years since the founding of the organization and the Festival. This unique event has sustained through time - in a modern world.
Q: What is one thing you wish your donors/general public knew about nonprofit work?
The work is hard and just as challenging as a for-profit sector job. And, most of us are well under paid for the work being done.
Q: Why did you decide to invest in INC membership?
I have always believed in the benefits of continuing education in one's industry as well as the importance of collaborating, partnering, networking and learning from colleagues.
