Join us in celebrating nonprofits this November for Nonprofit Awareness Month! We are excited to share your collective achievements throughout the month and we want to celebrate our members!

The INC’s social media accounts will be taken over by 15 different INC nonprofit members throughout the month. Each region of the state will be represented and will show the variety of nonprofits in the state.

If you are interested in taking over the Center’s accounts for a day, please complete this form by Friday, October 19.

This is a member benefit and an awareness and friend-raising opportunity. If you aren’t a member but are interested in a takeover day, you can join the INC here.

We are also looking for organizations that serve on Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving. The Center would like to highlight those who work through their holiday to make Idaho stronger.

Deadline: Oct. 19

Boise State Undergraduate Students Looking for Community Partners to Work with this Fall

Fifteen junior -and senior- level students are studying proposal development through the Boise State English department’s Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication program.  Beginning in mid- August, these students focused on understanding persuasion and are now learning about storytelling and writing cases for support.
Picture
In early October, the students are tasked with finding a community partner/nonprofit/cause to produce two sets of materials* that they will complete and submit by December 6:

  1. Produce three short-forms of persuasive content. These short-form/brief items may include, but are not limited to, a letter of inquiry, a fundraising letter or email, social media content, an infographic, talking points for a meeting and/or an elevator pitch, or a video.
  2. Produce long-form persuasive content. This could be a proposal (solicited or unsolicited) or a grant application. The parameters of the long-form content will depend on the project, organization, or cause.

If this opportunity is of interest, please contact Debra Purdy at debrapurdy@boisestate.edu

Deadline: Oct. 8 by end of day
