Idaho Gives is one week away! Here are a few new updates and what to be aware of for the day.

Last Steps Before they can Donate

Do you have your EIN and bank account information confirmed? If not, you will not be able to accept donations on May 2. Go to your Admin Dashboard and make sure you have all the green check marks.

Early Donations Now Open

Donors can now give through your Idaho Gives page (if you completed your page and confirmed the details above). All unique online donor gifts will be in the running for one of our first prizes - Scheduled Donation announced at 8:00 am MT. Check out the other prizes you can win on May 2.

New - Donor Advised Funds

New this year - we are proud to offer Donor Advised Funds (DAF) to help boost your donations for Idaho Gives. We are excited to partner with Idaho Community Foundation and Innovia Foundation for the donor advised funds and appreciate their support through this new process.

What is a DAF? A Donor Advised Fund is a giving vehicle that allows donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction and then recommend grants from the fund over time. 
How do I know if my donors have a DAF? Ask them! This is a great way to connect with donors and allow them to donate to your organization on May 2.
How do donors know that they can donate through a DAF for Idaho Gives? Easy. They can either learn from you or through communications via Idaho Community Foundation and Innovia Foundation.
Does a DAF count towards prizes on Idaho Gives? DAF’s will be considered an offline and verifiable gift and will count as a unique donor toward leaderboard prizes ONLY.
How is a DAF processed for Idaho Gives? Your donor will request a DAF through Idaho Community Foundation or Innovia Foundation, which will be processed as a donation on May 2.
Don’t see your foundation or financial institution listed? As this is a new process, we hope to offer more choices next year. For Idaho Gives 2019, our partners are Idaho Community Foundation and Innovia Foundation.

New - ACH Transfers

Also new this year is the option to donate using a direct ACH Transfer. Here's what you'll need to know.

$100 minimum donation
$3.00 flat fee per transaction plus the 2% platform fee (capped at $20)
Offered through most major financial institutions

Offline and Verifiable Donations

The live leaderboards on IdahoGives.org starting May 2 will include both online and offline donations. The Idaho Nonprofit Center team made this decision based on strategies we observed in the last few years. Organizations have been soliciting donations door to door in their communities and received cash contributions. We want to honor their efforts and give credit where credit is due.

However, all reported offline donations must be from unique donors. To ensure that your donations are verified, please provide the donors’ email addresses. If potential abuse should arise, the organization will be contacted and disqualified from the leaderboard prizes.

Leaderboard Prizes are determined by the most unique donors in each size category. Like last year, there are NO prizes awarded to most raised.

Leaderboards will have a soft announcement on May 3 at 12:15 am MT and will be reflected on the leaderboard page on IdahoGives.org. However, they are not the final winners until verified. The finalized list will be verified and published on or before May 10.

Verified ONline is a donation that is successfully submitted via credit card or ACH/Plaid.
Verified OFFline is a donation that is submitted via donor advised fund (DAF) or offline submission with a unique email

Phone Bank Volunteers - Boise Area

We invite you to be an Idaho Gives Phone Bank volunteer on May 2.

For the second year, we are excited to offer individuals a different way to donate – by calling 1-877-IDGIVES as advertised by our media partners across the state and KTVB. Please join us in helping individuals donate to their favorite organization and chat with some amazing people!

7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
9:00 pm - Midnight
