Session Descriptions

Ethics in Fundraising

Presenter: Cyn Reneau, Idaho Meth Project and Idaho Chapter of the Association of Fundraising

Can you accept funding from Pablo Escobar? Should your Development Director receive a bonus for securing large funding amounts? This session will discuss (and hopefully actively debate) where to draw the ethical line when securing funding for your nonprofit.

Preventing Burnout

Presenter: Karen Baerlocher, Peak View Performance Solutions, LLC

Employee burnout impacts organizations in all industries, but its prevalence in the nonprofit sector is surprising. When employee burnout occurs, it not only impacts the individual - it also significantly impacts the organization. This program focuses on the business value of employee engagement and the important role a leader plays in preventing employee burnout. We'll discuss examples and learn from others to lead a team of engaged employees and to sustain the overall health of the organization.

Advocacy in Action Panel

Moderator: Amy Little, Idaho Nonprofit Center

  • Christine Tiddens, Idaho Voices for Children
  • Peter Stegner, Riley Stegner and Associates
