Public Policy Program
Nonprofit organizations play a central role in the democratic process. We witness the effect that public policies have on our communities. Because of our special role in the community, nonprofits can serve as a bridge between policymakers and constituents.
The Idaho Nonprofit Center’s Policy Agenda focuses on the policy issues that affect the nonprofit sector and provides an outline for determining whether the Center will advocate for or against a piece of legislation. We welcome comments and feedback on this agenda. Feedback or comments can be sent to info@idahononprofits.org.
During the Idaho state legislative session, we send out bi-weekly email newsletters that cover potential bills that could impact the Idaho nonprofit sector at state and federal levels. We track these bills in our Legislative Watch.
In 2022, we convened a coalition of nonprofit and community professionals from across the state to serve as a voice for the sector on policy and legislation. View the complete map of the coalition members.
