Idaho Leads: Nonprofit Leadership Development Program is a cohort-designed program for nonprofit Executive Directors and CEOs to learn crucial leadership concepts unique to being a leader of a nonprofit organization. It will be packed with learning opportunities, peer bonding, and other leadership growth opportunities. The program includes:

Outcomes
Why participate in this program? Participants will walk away with a better understanding of themselves, their unique leadership skills, and the tools needed to be effective leaders in their communities and organizations. Objectives include:
- 1. Self Discovery as a Leader: deepen your understanding of your leadership style and identify your strengths and weaknesses.
- Build an Effective Culture: create an effective plan rooted in DEI to strengthen your team’s culture resulting in higher productivity and less employee turnover.
- Manage Personal Effectiveness: learn crucial time management skills, delegation, and tools to manage burnout.
- Develop Your Public Narrative: leverage your personal and organizational narrative to win minds and hearts and mobilize the community towards change.
- Navigate Conflict: learn to navigate difficult situations and conversations to create the best possible outcomes for all parties involved.
- Lead Through Change: practice authenticity, vulnerability, and risk-taking; and learn to effectively lead your staff and board.
More Information and Expectations
Participants are expected to participate in the following events to successfully complete the program.
Overnight Retreat: May 22 — 24, 2023
Coaching Sessions: June, Jul, Aug, Sept, Oct, and Nov, 2023
Cohort Meetings: Jun, Sept, Nov, 2023

- two-night, three day retreat at YMCA Camp at Horsethief Reservoir
- Lodging: All attendees will be split into cabins and shared based on gender identities. Bathrooms will also be shared.
- Transportation: Attendees will be in charge of their own transportation (carpool lists can be created)
- Food and beverages will be provided
- Attendees may bring additional snack food or drink (including alcoholic beverages) as social/networking time will be built into the schedule
Coaching Sessions: June, Jul, Aug, Sept, Oct, and Nov, 2023
- Participants will be paired with one other member from the retreat to work together with a coach on a monthly basis.
- Coaching is highly tailored to the needs of each participant including personal development goals and organizational challenges.
- Four to six coaching sessions will be held virtually via zoom or in person depending coach’s and/or participant’s geographic location and availability.
- Participants are expected to come prepared with topics to discuss and are encouraged to send agenda items to their coach in advance.
Cohort Meetings: Jun, Sept, Nov, 2023
- Three virtual classes will be held after the retreat and led by a subject matter expert.
- Each session will be highly interactive and cover one of the following leadership objectives

About Coaches
Rob is a professor of human resource development where his teaching and research focus on organizational psychology and behavior. He uses this as a framework to help build sustainable systems and initiatives with his clients. With over 15 years of significant hands-on experience in leadership, management, and organization development, Rob helps nonprofits and other businesses build effective teams.

Angie became fascinated by human behavior after observing people’s behaviors in the Operating Room when she worked as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST). She was fascinated by how the leadership in this environment (surgeons) affected the entire team and ultimately affected patient outcomes both positively and negatively. She has a Master’s in Human Resource Development and is certified in the DISC assessment model. With her authentic and nurturing approach, Angie’s contributions include board effectiveness, board development, and executive board leadership.
