Nonprofit organizations can evaluate risks by using this online Computer Assisted Risk Evaluation System (Nonprofit CARES), a Web-based tool designed specifically for nonprofits by the Nonprofit Risk Management Center in Washington, DC. Nonprofit CARES requires no specialized knowledge and its easy-to-navigate menus guide the user through the entire process.

U of Idaho Entrepreneurship Law Clinic
The types of legal work the clinic has helped nonprofits with in the past include drafting organizational documents, providing advice on IRS Form 1023, securing a Trademark for a name or logo, and various contract issues. Capable of handling most other transactional legal issues dealt with by nonprofits. However, the clinic does not do any litigation. The legal services are free and are performed by third year law students who have been granted a limited license to practice law. Their work is supervised by myself and another professor.
