Nonprofit Nonpartisanship in Jeopardy

The Idaho Nonprofit Center, nonprofits, houses of worship, and foundations across the state are steadfast in our support of the Johnson Amendment, the longstanding provision of federal tax law that prohibits candidates for public office and donors from attempting to politicize our organizations by asking for endorsements and other forms of campaign support.

That law is at risk this month, and Congressman Simpson is in a key position to protect nonprofit nonpartisanship. We’re asking for your help in urging him to stand with the nonprofit community by delivering this message:

• Partisanship has NO place in charitable organizations – whether churches, charities, or foundations. Oppose all efforts in conference to include a controversial anti-Johnson Amendment rider to the Financial Services spending bill, H.R.6147.

Join College of Idaho Political Economy Professor Jasper LiCalzi as he leads Idaho gubernatorial candidates Brad Little and Paulette Jordan in a conversation designed to advance civil discourse and increase understanding of each candidate's stance on important fiscal issues.

Grants Galore

​2019 Levitt AMP [Your City] Grant Awards

The Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation announces an exciting grant opportunity serving small to mid-sized towns and cities across the country. Up to 15 grantees will be awarded $25K each in matching funds to produce their own Levitt AMP [Your City] Music Series­—an outdoor, free concert series featuring a diverse line-up of high caliber entertainment for people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy. Online public voting determines the Top 25 finalists.

Volunteers Needed in Boise Area?

BB Involved stems from Boise Brewing’s original idea of “Community Supported Beer” or CSB. There will be a handle in the taproom designated for CSB batches where $1 of every pint sold will be donated to charity.

Volunteer Coordinators will work with one selected charitable organization per month to plan a volunteer event. The purpose of BB Involved is to support a nonprofit organization and give back to the community. BB Involved is a way to connect and give back without stressing brewery operations. It provides an opportunity for nonprofits to showcase their organization and receive extra help from volunteers.
