In this quarter’s issue you’ll see us introduce two new faces to our staff team. We welcomed Linzi Andersen in December as our office coordinator, working with us five days a week and providing strategic support to almost our entire Center team. Summer DuPree joined us earlier this month as our Idaho Gives project manager, taking over nearly every aspect of planning, coordinating, and executing Idaho Gives. We are so blessed to have been able to increase our capacity to serve you, our nonprofits and business members. In This Issue
Early Bird Pricing Ends Wednesday! One day conferences will be held throughout the state next month. Join us as we explore multiple subjects through a collaboration lens.

Your voice can be heard and it is important to understand how. Learning how to advocate for important issues is your first step.
Don’t worry! While this may seem like an overwhelming topic, there are small things you can do to make a difference in your community.
During this past legislative season, congress officially repealed the Internal Revenue Code’s (IRC) Section 512(a)(7). As a result of the legislative repeal, Idaho nonprofits who were required to pay higher taxes after December 31, 2017 due to the increased tax on transportation fringes, may now qualify for tax-credits or financial refunds. If your organization was affected by the increased rates and wish to claim a refund or credit of the UBIT reported on your Form 990-T for 2017 or 2018 under Section 512(a)(7), you may do so by filing an amended Form 990-T as described in the form’s instructions. How to Receive RefundAre you a member in good standing (business affiliates and nonprofits alike) that would like to volunteer your time to serve on one of our newly formed committees?
Your involvement is so important to us and we need you AND your ideas. For us to fulfill our mission, and the initiatives of our plan, we want to include our members in giving their voice at the decision-making level for our annual conference, for Idaho Gives and public policy. |
