Fifteen junior and senior level students are studying proposal development through the Boise State English Department’s Writing, Rhetoric and Technical Communication program. The students would provide the following* in conjunction with the nonprofit partner/mentor.
Students will work individually or in teams of two. At the outset of the work, the individual student or student team will work with their partner to write an MOU to clarify the agreement and timelines for the work to be completed. Students will need to wrap up their work by the first few week of December in order to present their projects in the classroom the second week. If this opportunity is of interest, please contact Debra Purdy at [email protected] *Both the short-form and long-form projects can be outside the examples described; the instructor will work with the organization and student(s) to identify practical and appropriate materials that will achieve the aims of the organization and that of the course.

The Idaho Nonprofit Center invites all 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations to participate in the 2019 State of the Nonprofit Sector Survey. We invite ALL Idaho 501(c)(3) nonprofit chief executive officers/executive directors to participate in this survey – our goal is to have the leader of the nonprofit take this survey, as well as to have them share the link with their peers at other nonprofits. If you’re not a 501 (c)(3) organization CEO/ED or board chair/president at an all-volunteer-based 501(c)(3) organization, we would appreciate it if you could forward this message to the leaders of those organizations. Why does this Matter?Nonprofits and the Economy“Nonprofits’ main goal is helping people in need, but the sector itself has grown to the point that it’s also providing a valuable service to the U.S. economy.” - Fast Company
