Message from the Executive Director: January 19, 20172017 has been full of surprises already, I can’t wait to see what the rest of this year has in store for us! Each new year is an opportunity to reflect, make changes, and plan for the future. Here at the Idaho Nonprofit Center we are no different. We have been using our Nonprofit Needs Assessment from last June to reflect on how we can continue to serve our members and the nonprofit sector of Idaho, we have made a few changes in staff here at the Center and we’ve mapped a pretty impressive plan for the future including our signature statewide event, Idaho Gives. If you would like to review the needs assessment results, please CLICK HERE. We learned a great deal from both our nonprofit and business affiliate members about what we can do better and what we do well. In terms of changes, one of the biggest takeaways from the survey is that we need to focus on our members and continually provide the highest and best value for your membership dollars. It’s not enough for us to tell you we’re worth it, it’s on us to prove it. Over the course of the past few months we’re been working toward that end. If you don’t know all the amazing things we do, please join us for our second quarterly membership orientation on Feb. 1. It’s webinar style so you can join us in person or from the comfort of your home or office. CLICK HERE to RSVP.

The time has come for me to say farewell to the Idaho Nonprofit Center as I transition into my new role as Director of Development with CATCH, Inc. I have had the most amazing two years as the Programs Director because I had the opportunity to work with so many passionate nonprofit professionals like yourself. I have seen how much people care about making our state and beyond a greater place for all. I witnessed countless displays of kindness and genuine care for others. I have been inspired by how hard organization work to make sure they are good fosters of donor funds. I have gotten to learn so much from some of the most amazing business affiliates and session presenters at Resource Thursdays, webinars, Regional Forums and the Annual Conference. I have been blown away by the philanthropic nature of individuals and businesses in support of Idaho Gives. As I say goodbye, I am sad to be leaving the Idaho Nonprofit Center, my amazing teammates and you our supporters, but know that the Idaho Nonprofit Center is in the right hands and has amazing things in store! I will continue to be the biggest fan of the Idaho Nonprofit Center and look forward to watching all the good that comes from the Idaho nonprofit sector. I truly believe that each and every one of you is making a huge difference. I am grateful for this opportunity and hope that you will continue to dream big, live out your passions and fight to make our world a better place! With Gratitude, Erin Hutto
