New Opportunities - Nonprofit Navigator

Hello Friends! When I began at the Idaho Nonprofit Center 4 ½ years ago, I had no idea what to expect, as I was new to the role, new to the nonprofit sector and even new to Boise. I was super excited to become involved with members, sponsors, and funders. But what I really wanted to do was to make friends with them all.
And I did. With my pals at the Center, with my Leadership Boise class, with my AFP (Association of Fundraising Professionals) group, with my development directors happy hour group,  and with my sponsors, contacts, members and donors. And I thank you all!

Everything I have done in the past 4 years has prepared me for my next step as the Director of the West Ada Education Foundation. My last day at the Center will be June 24th.

I've seen firsthand the remarkable impact a teacher can have on a child and know all the extras that teachers offer. I'm the daughter of a retired teacher.

My boss, Amy,  always says that her job as president is to prepare her staff for the next step and knows that we won't stay forever. She wouldn't want us to. I have learned so much from her. And it is these lessons that I take with me to the Education Foundation.

I can honestly say that I consider my work friends as part of my family.  We have celebrated family milestones together and mourned the losses.  We enjoy Coffee Wednesdays together and share love and laughter with the office dogs and virtual happy hours.

Thank you to my pals at the Center: Kim, June, Linzi, Summer, Evin, and Amy. I have so enjoyed working with you, celebrating with you, laughing with you, and learning from you. We have conquered a lot in 4 years and I will miss you greatly.

Thank you sponsors, business affiliates, nonprofit organizations, funders.  friends and those who support the Idaho Nonprofit Center. I will miss you.

Graciously -

Keri

Changes at the Idaho Nonprofit Center

Keri Davidson has been a wonderful and crucial addition to our team. We are tremendously sad to see her go but excited for her new adventure with the West Ada Education Foundation!

With Keri’s departure, additional leadership roles were needed. It is an honor to announce that those positions have been filled internally by Evin Bask, now Director of Membership and Development, and Kim Ellsworth, now Director of Marketing and Communications.

Both have been with the Idaho Nonprofit Center since August of 2016. They have done an incredible job of growing our programs and services, bringing awareness to the Center, and have demonstrated wonderful leadership in these past four years.

Please join us in welcoming them to their new responsibilities!

Join the Team! – Applications Open Until June 15, 6:00 pm MT

The Training and Program Coordinator will play a critical role in achieving the Idaho Nonprofit Center’s vision to provide high quality programs to its statewide members and other constituents. This is an entry-level position with room for advancement.

Advanced Analysis with BSU

The Predictive Analytics class at Boise State University, taught by Dr. Christie Fuller, is looking for organizations to partner with during the Fall 2020 semester and beyond. The students have been successfully partnering with nonprofits for the last two years. The class can perform advanced analysis on your data to enable decision making in your organization. Ideal data will be able to be put into Microsoft Excel, have at least a few hundred rows and at least ten columns.

Previous problems explored by the class include:

  • Which factors are related to executive compensation in nonprofit organizations?
  • Which variables or characteristics are related to a high school senior’s decision to “go on” to pursue education or training beyond high school?
  • What factors impact nonprofit organizations’ ability to achieve their mission?
  • What drives whether a person will donate to a nonprofit or how much that person will donate?

If you are interested in working with the students in this year’s class, please contact Christie Fuller: [email protected]
