Hello Friends! When I began at the Idaho Nonprofit Center 4 ½ years ago, I had no idea what to expect, as I was new to the role, new to the nonprofit sector and even new to Boise. I was super excited to become involved with members, sponsors, and funders. But what I really wanted to do was to make friends with them all. And I did. With my pals at the Center, with my Leadership Boise class, with my AFP (Association of Fundraising Professionals) group, with my development directors happy hour group, and with my sponsors, contacts, members and donors. And I thank you all!
Everything I have done in the past 4 years has prepared me for my next step as the Director of the West Ada Education Foundation. My last day at the Center will be June 24th. I've seen firsthand the remarkable impact a teacher can have on a child and know all the extras that teachers offer. I'm the daughter of a retired teacher. My boss, Amy, always says that her job as president is to prepare her staff for the next step and knows that we won't stay forever. She wouldn't want us to. I have learned so much from her. And it is these lessons that I take with me to the Education Foundation. I can honestly say that I consider my work friends as part of my family. We have celebrated family milestones together and mourned the losses. We enjoy Coffee Wednesdays together and share love and laughter with the office dogs and virtual happy hours. Thank you to my pals at the Center: Kim, June, Linzi, Summer, Evin, and Amy. I have so enjoyed working with you, celebrating with you, laughing with you, and learning from you. We have conquered a lot in 4 years and I will miss you greatly. Thank you sponsors, business affiliates, nonprofit organizations, funders. friends and those who support the Idaho Nonprofit Center. I will miss you. Graciously - Keri
