Collaboration in Idaho and Pacific Northwest

“If we want the state of Idaho to flourish in every corner and for every community to thrive, it is critical that all representatives of our region – business leaders, government officials, health care representatives, nonprofit professionals, educators, faith-based leaders, individual community members – stop emphasizing the lines that divide us and instead join a productive, constructive discussion that focuses on collaborative solutions.” - Terry Stokesbary, M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust

How Nonprofits Thrive in Small Towns

“A smaller population base also means a smaller fundraising base. This doesn’t mean you can’t raise funds to support your mission, but rather that you should be strategic in how you go about getting the money.” - Big Fish Small Pond

What do you Think?

The office of the Idaho Attorney General is working on legislation that the Idaho nonprofit sector should be aware of. This most recent legislation is similar in nature–yet completely reworked–of the ICAPSA legislation that we first shared with you during 2016-2017.

Please click here to read the latest version–the one from which the Attorney General’s office will be working from for the next several months. This is the most recent draft and titled “version 1.”  Please take a moment to review. We invite you to share your questions and feedback with us.

Bring Boot Camp to your Town

Would you and your peers like an in-person board training with one-on-one support from an experienced nonprofit educator? The Idaho Nonprofit Center wants to bring Board Chair Boot Camp to you!

To make this training available in your community, we need at least four (4) organizations to commit to have their executive director and board chair attend this full day session (9:00 am – 4:00 pm).

If you are interested, please outline what city and potential dates would work best for you (links found below). When four organizations from your community submit, we will solidify a date and open registration.

Volunteers Needed in Boise Area?

BB Involved stems from Boise Brewing’s original idea of “Community Supported Beer” or CSB. There will be a handle in the taproom designated for CSB batches where $1 of every pint sold will be donated to charity.

Volunteer Coordinators will work with one selected charitable organization per month to plan a volunteer event. The purpose of BB Involved is to support a nonprofit organization and give back to the community. BB Involved is a way to connect and give back without stressing brewery operations. It provides an opportunity for nonprofits to showcase their organization and receive extra help from volunteers.
