“Idaho Gives is so much fun. One of the most fun and most easy ways to fundraise. I really get a kick out of seeing the [leaderboards] and all the other Idaho Nonprofits,” said Pocatello Free Clinic Executive Director, Kristina Pasquella-Jordan. The Pocatello Free Clinic is a health clinic that addresses vital community health needs to community members, no matter if they are able to pay or not. Pasquella-Jordan and team started spreading the word for Idaho Gives a month in advance, and continued promoting their nonprofit leading up to the event. “Board members and employees were encouraged to share the link with 5 friends and 5 family members and for each individual who raised a large amount was recognized for outstanding advocacy in the community.” They also advertised over “social media, newspaper, posters, and the local KISU radio station and events calendar.” For first time participants of Idaho Gives, Pasquella-Jordan advises to “take advantage of what the Idaho Gives team develops. It is much easier to use their templates and strategies then creating their own”...“First time organizations should expect a lot of fun and expect to get a little crazy about watching the [leaderboards]. Which I love!” said Pasquella-Jordan. Idaho Gives may start online but your relationships with your donors continue and is enhanced offline. The Pocatello Free Clinic provided a “tour of the clinic and highlight any special projects or programs we have going on at the time. The tour and hospitality has continued to bring us new donors and allowed us to keep past donors.”
