Nonprofit work is usually busy with little free time to expand on day to day tasks. Your week may be filled with finding funds or consuming mission centric tasks. However, investing more time in general marketing and the visuals you use can help fuel your programs. Below are a few programs -that any novice or expert can use- and helpful links filled with free images, blogs, and how to guides to help your nonprofit better reach your audiences. Social Media Visuals Social media has been so ingrained in our lives that a nonprofit cannot ignore its power. However, it is sometimes difficult to navigate the ever changing rules. No matter how many times the algorithms update, regularly showing the heart of your organization through stories and imagery will always outweigh the mystery system.
By sharing on social media regularly, you show potential donors, volunteers, or supporters that you are actively working and engaged with the community. Go show your mission in action! Easy Graphic Design Programs Budgets and staff time are limited for most nonprofits. Here are a few free and cheap programs that can assist you when creating graphics for both online and print. Although these programs can help with your everyday needs, an intense visual project (logo, award, large fundraising campaign, etc.) can greatly benefit from a hired graphic designer. A trained designer will take a tremendous burden off you with amazing results well worth the extra line in the budget. Benefits of Branding Do you have a color pallet? Do you have a regular font? Do you have communication rules? If not, I recommend creating simple internal guidelines to keep your look consistent. Everything you put out should scream your organization to help you and your followers. All staff, board, and/or volunteers will then have easy instructions to follow when tasked with posting as the nonprofit. Marketing Blogs to Follow
