Thank you to Alanna Love, Marketing Director at Ballet Idaho, for your continued partnership and service to the nonprofit community! Q: How has your organization evolved over the years? Starting as a small touring company nearly 50 years ago, Ballet Idaho has now established itself as the primary representative of ballet in the state of Idaho and has also established a full dance academy. Q: What are the biggest rewards or what do you enjoy most about the work you do? Ballet Idaho prioritizes making dance accessible to as many people as possible. From partnerships with local nonprofits to dance academy scholarships, Ballet Idaho brings the beauty of dance to as many people as possible. Q: What are some of the biggest challenges you face day-to-day? Trying to manage an ever growing workload with a very small departmental staff. Being aware that the risk of burnout is very real for all involved. Q: What is one thing you wish your donors/general public knew about nonprofit work? That the cost of a ticket doesn't even begin to cover the cost of putting on the production. Without the donations of our community, we couldn't keep creating art without intensely raising ticket prices. Q: What is your favorite part of INC membership? - I love being brought up to speed on what is relevant to local nonprofits. I also appreciate all of the educational opportunities.
