The rules reduced the loan forgiveness application from 11 pages to two and allow some borrowers to still have their loans forgiven even if they've had to reduce headcount or wages. Loans under $50,000 make up more than 70% of the loans awarded and businesses and banks alike have called on the SBA and the Treasury Department to release further guidance on how the loans can be converted into grants."  Opposition Grows Over Bias Training Executive OrderThe President's Executive Order on combating race and sex stereotyping, which seeks to restrain speech in employee trainings on diversity, equity, and inclusion concepts is facing near-universal backlash from individuals and organizations affected by it. Broad coalitions of private sector employers, the civil rights community, higher education, museums, and many others have already gone on record opposing the Executive Order on Combating Race and Sex Stereotyping. COVID Relief Grants for Artist & Art Organizations The Idaho Commission on the Arts is accepting applications for round two of CARES Act Relief funds. The grants will be made to nonprofit 501(c)(3) arts organizations and to individual artists who have lost arts-related income. This is not for the arts organizations that already received CARES Act, Round One grants (e.q., organization receiving PA/Entry Track grants). Grants will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis until the funds are expended. The application portal will open at 12:00pm MT on Monday, Nov.2. *Portal will close sooner if funds are fully committed before Nov. 16th Municipal Small Business Grant Program The past seven months of the pandemic have been challenging, in particular to our small businesses. We know the impacts COVID-19 has had on our community and our economy and we have been advocating for you for government relief. The City of Boise announced their Small Business Grant Program that is another resource assistance fund for eligible businesses. Funding for this program was made available by Governor Little's Coronavirus Financial Advisory Committee, enabling cities and counties to provide aid within their community. The Grant Program is live for applications now.
Strong Families, Strong Students At StrongFamilies.Idaho.Gov, eligible parents can apply for $1,500 per eligible student with a maximum award of $3,500 per family. Families can use the funds to purchase or receive reimbursement for eligible educational materials, devices, and services. Idaho Women's Charitable Foundation 2021 Grants Are you a nonprofit organization that is addressing a critical need in Southwestern Idaho, creating innovative solutions to community challenges, or have had to shift gears in your programming or operations because of COVID-19? If so, your organization might be a perfect fit for a grant. Requests are funded annually in six areas of interest: Cultural Arts, Education, Environment, Financial Stability, Health, and Rural Communities.
AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent Program For decades, AmeriCorps Seniors FGP and SCP programs have engaged older Americans in volunteer service that foster intergenerational relationships and provide companionship to other older adults. With these NOFOs, AmeriCorps Seniors intends to fund successful applicants that increase the impact of volunteers age 55 and older who provide volunteer service in response to local community needs.
SBA Disaster Assistance in Response to the Coronavirus The U.S Small Business Administration is offering designated states and territories low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to small businesses suffering substantial economic injury as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). FEMA Application for Nonprofits All 50 states, the District of Columbia, five territories, and numerous tribes are working directly with FEMA under President Trump’s March 13, 2020, nationwide emergency declaration for COVID-19. Under this emergency declaration, and subsequent major disaster declarations, certain private non-profit (PNP) organizations are eligible to apply for funding through FEMA’s Public Assistance program. This fact sheet provides guidance for determining the eligibility of PNP applicants and work performed in accordance with the COVID-19 emergency and major disaster declarations. Homeless Veteran Assistance The VA Homeless Providers Grant and Per Diem Program provides funding for eligible entities to provide transitional housing beds or service centers for veterans who are homeless or at risk for becoming homeless. Rocky Mountain Power Foundation offers support for community organizations responding to COVID-19 Community organizations are facing unprecedented challenges and demand for vital services. Through Rocky Mountain Power’s charitable arm, the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation has committed $311,500 for immediate support to critical community-serving organizations in Utah, Wyoming and Idaho.
