Helpful LinksGrants GaloreBoise Small Business Grant UPDATED The City of Boise has reserved $1.5 million of its reserved COVID Relief Funds to create a grant program providing financial relief to local businesses and organizations affected by the pandemic. Eligible businesses/organizations may be awarded up to a maximum of $15,000 in grant funds. Eligible organizations will be awarded funds on a first come first-served basis. If you are considering applying, we recommend you do so as soon as possible.
The Idaho Humanities Council Major Grants Major Grants are for projects seeking funding over $1,000. Initial applications are due December 15. IHC staff will review these initial applications and respond with recommendations. Final applications will then be due on January 15. Grants over the years have supported museum and library exhibits, oral history projects, heritage tourism projects, literary events, special lectures, the preservation of historical photo archives, community-wide reading programs, humanities-focused conferences, and a variety of projects and programs that inspire community dialogue in the humanities. Idaho Women's Charitable Foundation 2021 Grants Are you a nonprofit organization that is addressing a critical need in Southwestern Idaho, creating innovative solutions to community challenges, or have had to shift gears in your programming or operations because of COVID-19? If so, your organization might be a perfect fit for a grant. Requests are funded annually in six areas of interest: Cultural Arts, Education, Environment, Financial Stability, Health, and Rural Communities. Rocky Mountain Power Foundation The Rocky Mountain Power Foundation is offering grants of up to $10,000 (with most ranging between $2,000 and $5,000) proposals from health, safety, and wellness organizations in Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho, including youth organizations, senior citizen centers, dependency and prevention programs, and related efforts. State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) Grant The goals of STEP are to increase the number of small businesses that export, increase the value of exports and increase the number of small businesses exploring significant new trade opportunities. Participants must meet SBA eligibility requirements to participate in the following STEP-funded programs. 2021 Leadership in Community Resilience Grant Program This year, NLC is proud to partner with the Resilient Cities Network to apply their holistic resilience framework to more cities across the country and share lessons and strategies from their global network of Chief Resilience Officers. Applicants should be able to achieve a substantial portion of their proposed project in one year. Program begins in March 2021 and ends in December 2021. USDA Community Connect Grant Program USDA is accepting applications for its Community Connect Grants Program. The purpose of the Community Connect Program is to provide financial assistance in the form of grants to eligible applicants that will provide, on a “community-oriented connectivity” basis, broadband service that fosters economic growth and delivers enhanced educational, health care, and public safety benefits. National Forest Foundation (NFF) The National Forest Foundation (NFF) Matching Awards Program (MAP) provides funding for results-oriented on-the-ground projects that enhance forest health and outdoor experiences on National Forests and Grasslands. GATHER Food Sovereignty Grant First Nations Development Institute is inviting applications for its Gather Food Sovereignty Grant program for up to thirteen grants of up to $32,000 to be awarded in support of work that contributes to building a national movement that advances a vision of Native communities and food systems that are self-directed, well-resourced, and supported by community policies and systems. Archive Preservation Assistance Preservation Assistance Grants help small and mid-sized institutions — such as libraries, museums, historical societies, archival repositories, cultural organizations, town and county records offices, and colleges and universities — improve their ability to preserve and care for their significant humanities collections. Idaho Wild Rivers Idaho Commerce is accepting applications for the Idaho Wild Rivers Grant Program for the 2021 grant cycle. Eligible recipients of Wild Rivers grant funds are federal, state, or local government agencies, or incorporated non-profit organizations related to whitewater river recreation. AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent Program For decades, AmeriCorps Seniors FGP and SCP programs have engaged older Americans in volunteer service that foster intergenerational relationships and provide companionship to other older adults. With these NOFOs, AmeriCorps Seniors intends to fund successful applicants that increase the impact of volunteers age 55 and older who provide volunteer service in response to local community needs.
The Idaho Botanical Garden 2021 Lunaria Grant Program Established in 2012 to help cultivate horticulture and related educational projects, the Lunaria Grant supports new and exciting endeavors throughout the state. Funding horticulture-based education projects within Idaho in 2021. Classics for Kids Foundation If your school or non-profit organization believes in the role of fine instruments in your program, and can show evidence of need and commitment to raising matching funds, you are a strong candidate for the Classics for Kids matching grant program. Applications accepted quarterly. SBA Disaster Assistance in Response to the Coronavirus The U.S Small Business Administration is offering designated states and territories low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to small businesses suffering substantial economic injury as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Restoration & Resilience COVID Recovery Fund The Restoration & Resilience COVID Recovery Fund will be open for seven (7) months, starting in November. Sponsorships will be awarded on a rolling basis to allow flexibility in the timing of projects and compliance with local regulations related to the pandemic. NEEF will review applications on a bimonthly basis and select up to 15 projects for sponsorship. FEMA Application for Nonprofits All 50 states, the District of Columbia, five territories, and numerous tribes are working directly with FEMA under President Trump’s March 13, 2020, nationwide emergency declaration for COVID-19. Under this emergency declaration, and subsequent major disaster declarations, certain private non-profit (PNP) organizations are eligible to apply for funding through FEMA’s Public Assistance program. This fact sheet provides guidance for determining the eligibility of PNP applicants and work performed in accordance with the COVID-19 emergency and major disaster declarations. Homeless Veteran Assistance The VA Homeless Providers Grant and Per Diem Program provides funding for eligible entities to provide transitional housing beds or service centers for veterans who are homeless or at risk for becoming homeless. Rocky Mountain Power Foundation Offers Support for Community Organizations Responding to COVID-19 Community organizations are facing unprecedented challenges and demand for vital services. Through Rocky Mountain Power’s charitable arm, the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation has committed $311,500 for immediate support to critical community-serving organizations in Utah, Wyoming and Idaho. USDA Rural Development USDA Rural Development provides grants for water and waste disposal facilities and services on federally recognized tribal lands, colonias, and rural areas that face significant health risks due to a lack of access to adequate, affordable water or waste disposal. Funds may be used for construction of basic drinking water and waste disposal systems, including storm drainage. Utility districts may also be able to provide grants to individual households to install indoor plumbing and connect to the system. National Endowment for the Arts Big Read
