The Functional Nonprofit Board - A functional board is essential to the health and wellbeing of a nonprofit, but many nonprofit boards flounder for lack of proper direction, policies, and leadership. If you've ever heard a board member say "I never felt like I fit in," or "I never knew why I was there," or "I didn't realize this was a lifetime appointment," or "I had no idea I was expected to do _______," this might be the session for you. Learn how a high functioning board works and steps you can take to build such a board, or redirect a not-so-functional board to be the most effective it can be on behalf of the mission you serve.
