Does your nonprofit organization have an upcoming event and need volunteers? Maybe your office is looking for a volunteer to handle some administrative tasks a few hours a week. No matter what your volunteer needs are, VolunteerUnited.org can help you reach Idahoans looking to get involved. The Idaho Department of Labor’s volunteerism branch, Serve Idaho, and the seven United Ways across the state teamed up to offer VolunteerUnited.org as a free, statewide resource for all nonprofits in Idaho. “This is a tool for building relationships,” said Hannah Staller, United Way of Treasure Valley’s volunteer and special events manager. “It’s a tool for casting your line out there and drawing people in to your work and showing them what’s so special about your nonprofit organization.” Your volunteer postings on VolunteerUnited.org will reach a large audience, and the website also offers a streamlined check-in feature for you to use at your events, saving you time, paper and the hassle of typing data into an Excel spreadsheet.
“We have incredibly caring communities across the state, and we want to give people as many opportunities as possible to give back because we know it is important to them,” Staller said. “We also know that nonprofits really benefit when people volunteer their time. The benefits of VolunteerUnited are really two-fold.” Are you interested in learning more about VolunteerUnited.org? Call Hannah at (208) 336-1070. (A message from United Way of Treasure Valley)
