The Idaho Nonprofit Center Stands In Support of Racial Justice and Equality

​The Idaho Nonprofit Center’s mission is to educate, advocate and collaborate in support of stronger nonprofits.  We care deeply about our nonprofits AND the communities that we serve. 

As an organization that serves the diverse nonprofit community of Idaho, we firmly believe there is no place for racism, injustice, and inequality. 

We are saddened and outraged by the recent acts of violence and racism in our country.  

We are committed to being a leader and working with the nonprofit community to raise awareness, and educate ourselves and develop policies and practices to better address diversity, equity, and inclusion.

At the Idaho Nonprofit Center, it is clear that we have work to do and we are fiercely and emphatically embracing it as part of our mission and our values as an organization. 

• We are going to add diversity, equity and inclusion as a strategic initiative to our 2018-2021 strategic plan, effective immediately
• We will adopt core values that state the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion
• We will lead through this challenge and share what we learn
• We are planning a series of trainings that will be made available for free to our nonprofit community 

​Our 2020 annual conference agenda already incorporated racial justice topics and discussions, but current events underscore the importance of us addressing this now, and in our own organization.

Racism is systemic in our country, and we must act to change it. The Idaho Nonprofit Center is going to lean in and lead to create positive change in partnership and collaboration as we always do.

We’re calling on the nonprofit sector in Idaho to join us in learning and/or sharing how we can address diversity, equity, and inclusion, together.
