A New Direction, for You

Here at the Idaho Nonprofit Center we are committed to always doing our very best to support our friends in the nonprofit sector. At every opportunity we seek your input, your feedback, your thought and opinions.YOU make us better by participating in our programs and sharing your ideas for improvement with us.

​Each year we send out an annual membership needs assessment and we use that feedback to form our programs for the year. Last year, we took that feedback up a notch or two and incorporated it, along with important input from many of our stakeholders to inform our new strategic plan.

​I am proud to report that we have checked off almost all of the initiatives planned for the fall of 2018. If you would like to take a peek at our final draft Strategic Plan, click here. In it you will see the broad strokes with which we have painted our path through the next three years.

One of the things I am most excited about are the ways that we can involve our members more deeply in our programs and services, as well as engage all the communities we serve. To that end, I am extending a warm invitation to all members in good standing (business affiliates and nonprofits alike) to volunteer their time to serve on one of our newly formed committees.

Your involvement is so important to us and we need you AND your ideas. For us to fulfill our mission, and the initiatives of our plan, we want to include our members in giving their voice at the decision-making level for our annual conference, for Idaho Gives, public policy, and marketing & membership.

Here are very brief descriptions of the committees we invite you to join:

Conference Planning Committee:

• Purpose: Support the INC in planning and promoting the Idaho Nonprofit Center Statewide Conference
• ​Meetings: Monthly (with Nov – Feb off)

Marketing & Membership Committee:

• Purpose: Support the INC in outreach to current and potential members, both nonprofit and business affiliates
• ​Meetings: Bi-Monthly

Public Policy Committee:

• Purpose: The Idaho Nonprofit Center Public Policy Program is intended to increase the ability of nonprofit organizations in Idaho to improve the lives of their constituents through taking action on issues of public policy that affect the nonprofit sector as a whole.
• ​Meetings: Bi-Monthly

Idaho Gives Steering Committee:

• Purpose: Act as the liaison between Idaho Gives and your community! This committee with have monthly gatherings or communication to make sure every community around the state is prepared and engaged on this big day of giving! This committee will serve as the Idaho Gives expert and will encourage the community to participate in the employer partner program, nonprofit Registration and event hosting.
• ​Meetings: Monthly throughout Idaho Gives

We invite members from all over the state to participate, the beauty of technology allows us to remain connected and productive even when we don’t live in the same community! Your commitment to serve is for one calendar year, renewable on an annual basis.

All committees will appoint a chairperson and a secretary to capture meeting notes.  We hope you will consider joining one of our Idaho Nonprofit Center committees. We truly hope that this opportunity adds value to your membership and in turn helps us be better at what we do, for you.
