Idaho Gives is just a few days away! Here's everything you'll need to know for the two weeks of giving. Good luck and have fun! Need help? If you run into any issues throughout the giving event, please refer to GiveGab's customer service. They are very responsive and have access to the back end. They are the BEST resource if you have questions. Here's how to get ahold of them:
Prize Schedule We have our finalized prize schedule published online now. We want to make sure each organization is aware of these and are strategically planning! We will be using the prize page to communicate who has won each prize. There you will see the most recent winners. We will then publish on the Idaho Gives social media accounts later throughout the day: Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Leaderboards
My Idaho Gives Story
Social Media If you don't already, please use #IdahoGives or tag @idahogives in your social media posts. This will help potential donors find you and help us share the amazing work you are doing. We can't wait to see! Offline Donations Please submit offline donations before Idaho Gives ends at midnight MT. This is if you receive cash, checks, or even if a company/business will be donating a percentage back from the day's sales to your organization. However, all reported offline donations must be from unique donors. To ensure that your donations are verified, please provide the donors’ email addresses. If potential abuse should arise, the organization will be contacted and disqualified from the leaderboard prizes. Offline donations will count towards your fundraising total and our overall Idaho Gives total. Every dollar helps us all! Banking InformationJust a reminder to update your banking information for 2020. It’s extremely important that you make sure your banking information is current with GiveGab. If it isn’t then your organization won’t be able to accept donations. Other Giving Platforms The spirit of Idaho Gives is to broadcast our state’s nonprofit stories and for organizations to engage with donors in a truly meaningful way. We kindly ask you to not use other giving platforms (Facebook Fundraisers, Paypal, etc.) outside of the Idaho Gives platform (through GiveGab) while still promoting your Idaho Gives centered campaign. When you use other giving platforms, we do not have a true reflection of Idaho’s generous contributions as those funds are not included in the grand total and the organizations’ personal goals. The folks at Idaho Gives and GiveGab work very hard to make the day an easy way for donors to give and an effective way for nonprofits to tell their story. A lot of time and thought goes into making the best day for Idaho’s nonprofits. The more organizations that abandon the Idaho Gives platform – but still benefit from the marketing and general buzz of the day – the less leverage the Idaho Gives team has to promote this statewide fundraiser. We want each nonprofit to collect as many funds as they possibly can and to educate the state on all the amazing work you all do. We ask you to please be respectful of Idaho Gives as a whole and to support the efforts taken to raise money and awareness for Idaho nonprofits. However, if you do happen to receive donations outside of IdahoGives.org make sure to enter those into your Idaho Gives campaign page as offline gifts. They will not be counted towards many of the prizes but will be reflected in your total. Donor EngagementWe know that there’s a lot going on during the event, but letting your donors know what their donation means to you, no matter the amount they give, is a crucial step in the process that shouldn’t be forgotten. We believe in donor engagement so much that this year we even have the Energetic Engagement prize that your organization will be entered to win if you tell us about your creative engagement efforts. In case that isn’t enough, here are some quotes from donors on how much your engagement means to them:
Thank you for the hard work you do every day to make Idaho an amazing and safe place to live. See you on April 23rd!
